Dr. Darrell L. Bock is Research Professor of New Testament
Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He is also Professor
of Spiritual Development and Culture at the Center for
Christian Leadership. Professor Bock was graduated with High
Honors from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of
Theology in Old Testament. He received a Doctor of Philosophy
in New Testament from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland,
under the supervision of I. Howard Marshall. Dr. Bock has
twice conducted post-doctoral research at University of
Tübingen, Germany and in 1995 was awarded the Alexander von
Humboldt Scholarship from the Federal Republic of Germany.
Dr. Bock is a frequent contributor to scholarly journals including
The Princeton Theological Review and The Southwestern Journal
of Theology. He has authored or edited more than a dozen books
including, Studying the Historical Jesus and Jesus
According to Scripture. Professor Bock has contributed to
many standard reference works including Holman Bible Handbook,
Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology, New
Dictionary of Biblical Theology, and New King James Study
Bible.
